I decided to end this year in the same way I spent it. I guess I only know what that means. I'll be back to less cryptic entires next week.

The fourth chapter of my life is coming to and end soon. It was the shortest one. The third still haunts me sometimes.

I have an old wicker wheelchair that needs a new home. If you're in Kansas City and want to take it off my hands, just send me a message using the contact form on my other site.

Howdy internet friends! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.
Yesterday I realized I have to move in one month, and I have no idea where I'm going. The drama of uncertainty is quite refreshing, compared to the rather dull existence of the past few months. This evening I made arrangements to give away most of the stuff I own, so I can start fresh. My new bed arrives Friday. What more does a man need other than a computer and a place to sleep.

Link of the day: yewknee.com
This is an all time favorite site of mine. Along with posting great content every day, this guy can grow the biggest beard I've ever seen.
If you're a music junkie like me, you should also make silentuproar.com a daily stop. Michael (yewknee.com) regularly contributes to this site as well.

I installed Photoshop CS3 today. My favorite new feature is the startup time. CS2 takes 29 seconds to launch on my Intel Mac, and CS3 only takes 3 seconds. My second favorite feature is the docking palettes. They took me a few minutes to get use to, but I love the screen space they save on my laptop. The new docks also work great with the new screen mode called "Maximised Screen Mode". I haven't used CS3 on an actual project yet, so I'm sure I'll add to my list of favorite new features. I was excited to see the Smart Filters, and while they are pretty cool, they're not all I was hoping for. It looks like once you have a applied Smart Fiter to a layer, the original data cannot be altered without permenently rendering the filter. I was hoping that they would function at little more like adjustment layers. Of course, CS3 is still beta, so there's the usual minor bugs. One I've seen so far is the cursor for the brush tool is rendered incorrectly. I believe this only affects the Mac version. I've heard several people say one of the best new features is the Quick Selection Tool. I'll have to keep an open mind about this one. I played with it a little and it doesn't seem to be precise enough for detailed masked. Overall I love it, and would recommend it to anyone using an Intel Mac.

Hello. Thanks for visiting podlob. I'm going to try my hand at blogging again. I don't have a whole lot to say at the moment, so for awhile I'll probably just post links to stuff I find interesting. Hell, maybe I'll just turn this thing into a diary and show the world what a nutcase I am. Anyway, this site is a work in progress. I just wanted to get a basic site launched before I start thinking about admin tools, audio players, and all that other stuff that will take me forever to code. Again, thanks for dropping by and I hope you come back soon.
